Why different hours circulate
The pages that rank highest for this question all say something else: one says until eight in the evening, one gives a time near ten, one splits summer and winter. Even Google's own knowledge panel shows a time that comes from a phone call.
Separate summer and winter schedules do exist at archaeological sites, so differing hours are not wrong in themselves. What is wrong is failing to say which season they apply to and where they came from.
For your plan
- Go early. The slope has no shade, in the afternoon the stone heats up and the climb gets harder.
- Remember the Monday closure. This is what catches out most visitors arriving in Bodrum at the start of the week.
- Last entry before closing. Once the box office is shut, nobody is let in. Do not rely on the closing time.
A binding answer
